Another non starter
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I have the dreaded non start problem on my 97 4.2. I can here the fuel pump go and the car turns over fine but no start. Looks like I'm not getting a spark but I did have one of the throttle pots disconnected at the time, the plug was wet though. Last night the car never fired at all.
I disconnected fuse 7 the previous evening as the after market radio won't turn off (no code), I didn't want to drain the battery.
I have noticed that the fans runs when the starter is turning the engine, is this normal?? And I don't get the MIL lamp up on the dash when the ignition is switched on, but I've never noticed it up, might be a blown lamp I suppose.
I've only had the car since Saturday!!! Any quick resets I should do???
All the fuses are OK, Oh yeah I had a great time in it over the weekend with no problems.
Thanks for any help.
