Hofmeister kink: who was the first to use it?
Discussion

Among the first cars to feature this design trait were some 1949 General Motors 2-door cars, as well as the 1958 Lancia Flaminia Sport Zagato and the 1961 Lancia Flavia Coupé. Despite it being used broadly across automotive makes, the term "Hofmeister kink" is generally used in reference to automobiles designed by BMW it later appeared in.

We had a Hoffmeister Promotional Night at college with the Oompah Band and someone dressed up as a bear.
The stuff was so cheap we worked out we could drink it, wear it, share it with the band and try to drown the bear ...
There was only ever one event by mutual agreement between college and Hoffmeister.
The event was recorded permanently in the polished wood floors of the bar ....
