Hi all,

Is ther a special word you have to say, or something? To release the bonnet stay from the ball joint? furious

After 3 years of using a bit of old broomstick as the original one seemed to have its own electro magnetic lock and would never seperate, scratchchin i finally remembered to add one on to the end of an order from the supplier and got round to fitting it today.

Only to find it won't f*****g seperate either!!!!!! Am i doing something wrong? I've tried whacking it and everything!!!! smash

Have you removed the little Spring type clip from around the ball? If you have a close look you should see a little thin wire affair with a 'spike' that goes through the ball itself. I can go take a pic if you can't find it.

Yep afraid so hehe Just spin the pin from around the bottom of the ball and then pull the pin affair out. Should be a little easier after that. If still stuck use a bigger hammer.

You're more than welcome. Remember though, you have just taken advice from a man who said he would send a pic but remembered 30 seconds after posting that I'd sold my Cerbera to So Called a month ago!!

The future of Cerbs is safe in our hands. smokin

I never click mine onto the ball otherwise I can't get it off again either. I just rest it on there. Precarious but works. Didn't know there was a clip to be removed irked

Thats a bit like my 'sawn off broomstick' solution UKKID, but yours looks a bit more proffesional.
I keep meaning to make up some kind of 'v' arrangement to eliminate the twist the original puts onto the bonnet.
I'll get round to it one day!

Mine works fine inside, but it can all go wrong very quickly if caught by a gust of wind.
