Gtechniq nano technology paint protection products

Yes, been using them for nearly 10 years. It really last well and you just wash and dry and it looks 95% as good as freshly waxed. Lasts 12-24 months plus depending on your how often you wash it.
If i get a new car then a machined polish + gtechniq treatment is one of the first jobs.
You can always use their detailer stuff to give it a top up for that really fresh wax look for special occasions

The stuff is really excellent.
The Quantum Silver paint on my roadster always looked amazing, but it is really soft, and the enjoyment of "fettling" the car was diminishing for me, as every time I touched it I seemed to introduce more marks, rather than improving the look.
All of that was transformed when I got Paddy to work his magic with the Gtechniq coating.
If I ever get tempted by a new V12 Manual, I wouldn't hesitate in getting it done again.
The standard paint is just too soft without coating (IMHO).

Do you feel it' should be applied by a detailer rather than diy... The company states if applied incorrectly not easy to remove! As has been mentioned already, Aston paint can be quite soft and some colours end up looking worse than others. A wax will never keep a car looking as good as it can and help prevent wash marring, but a sealant such as Gtechniq crystal serum can. The first thing to do though is to have the car machine polished over a couple of days to remove the swirls and defects in the paint and then coat it with a sealant. After that, you just wash it carefully and if you feel the need, you can still wax the car or use a spray sealant if needs be.
I used to be Swissvax authorised and left because I thought there was no point, but have since become Gtechniq authorised because of the real world protection the products offer. Nearly every Aston I detail has crystal serum applied afterwards now.
Its worth noting that nothing is bomb proof though and should you take it down the local hand car wash, you could end up back at square one. However, if you look after the car, it will continue to look good for years to come.

My prices are not a secret lol. I charge £350 per day and to typically get rid of all the swirls etc , I would have to spend two days on a car. What you have to bare in mind is, I do a proper days work. I start at 8am and finish about 21:30-22:00. I've been known to still be there at 01:30am, but that doesn't happen very often thank god. 90% of the detailers out there will call it a day before 6pm, which is fine if you have a car for a week etc. I travel all over the country, so I don't see any point in finishing early and being bored in a hotel room when I can be doing something constructive.
A car with ppf isn't a problem. A coating can still be applied that will make it easier to wash and keep clean. The rest of the car will still need to be machine polished and sealed. Obviously, this wouldn't take the same time as a car that has no film at all on it.
If you guys want your cars looking shiny for burghley, just let me know. I can advise you on the best course of action and what sealants can be used where etc.

I ordered nano supernatural, a wax mixed with ceramic, and it was so dry out i could not even use it well, a bummer for me. I stick to karnauba wax now.
You can't mix a wax with a ceramic coating, only a liquid sealant blend. A true ceramic/glass coat sealant (other than crystal serum) will go hard if exposed to air, so it would be a different type of thing altogether. Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
