Audi R8 suspension options
Discussion
I'm close to buying a used R8, probably about an 08/09 model or thereabouts and have read a lot about getting one with 'Mag' ride is a must. Some adverts refer to a car having 'Mag' ride and some to a car having 'Audi Adaptive Suspension'. Are these the same thing or are they different?
Thanks

I'm guessing they mean the same thing. The mag ride option has a normal and sport setting which firms it up considerably.
Be careful when buying a mag ride car, certainly of that age as the shocks are very prone to leaking which will Mean replacement. I have an 08 car with 30k on the clock and one of my fronts is leaking badly and will need replacing, ideally both. Many owners have reported leaks in less than half that mileage.
A lot of owners, certainly of cars that age are ditching the mag ride once it develops problems and replacing it with the standard system or the V10+ set up as they are problem free and considerably cheaper.
Mag ride shocks are around £800-£900 each for the part alone!!
