Use one of the payment gateways is probably the easiest way.

Worldpay, Thawte and the like...

You can build your own simple HTML form for getting details and you can pick up javascript shopping carts for nothing on web - just make sure you've got an SSL certificate on your domain if you're not using Thawte, Worldpay etc

oops sorry - try yahoo.co.uk instead - may offer same service; if not i'd be surprised.

Apart from the big two, there are a couple of other companies offering SSL certificates.

I recommend instantssl.com

They have a range of certs which differ only by the warranty they offer.

The current exchange rate ($ ->£) means you can have a cert for around £46 which comes with a $2500 warranty.

The certs are included in the popular browsers so your customers will not get annoying pop-ups asking whether to install the cert.

Enjoy !

We use Protx (www.protx.com) - very cheap and reliable.
