Nikon D80 vs bridge or alternative
Discussion
I have a Nikon D80 but am yet to invest in any lens for it and use an 18-55 to get some very nice photos.
I do a lot of travelling and don't want to be carrying a load of lenses around with me but still want to get some nice long exposure night shots etc.
Would I be foolish to sell the D80 and invest in a newer bridge camera or buy a point and shoot for travelling and then keep the D80 for at home?

You'll mostly get the same response to this. Bridge cameras have all the disadvantages of a compact and none of the advantages of a DSLR.I do a lot of travelling and don't want to be carrying a load of lenses around with me but still want to get some nice long exposure night shots etc.

Keep the D80 and buy a Sony RX100 (various models with different prices, they all take great pics, and fit in jeans pocket - can do full manual, raw, auto bracket etc).
