As the thread title says really, is it possible to replace it or is it a specialist job, can a more modern one be fitted or are repairs possible?

Also interested in this as one of our dogs just chewed one of the remotes for the Chim ..... Both were getting poor though at operating, especially when the cabin was warm, even with new batteries. Sorry to slightly hijack...

After a couple of failed units I replaced the Meta alarm with a top of the range Viper alarm and immobiliser. Its a fairly straightforward DIY job if you can follow the wiring diagrams, however it's "cut and crimp" rather than "plug and play". I can PM you more details if that would help.

You might be better asking on the Chimp forum. The Cerbera wiring is different as far as I know.

I thought I would update the thread now that the old girl lives again.

It was a case of no output to the fuel pump from the ECU!

Why is anyone's guess and it seems really strange because the fuel pump relay WA functioning as expected.

The person who diagnosed it was Jason at SRT8SIX, I called him described the symptoms and he said immediately the fuel pump control from the ECU. All I had to do was unplug the ECU and plug back in and she sprung back to life immediately I pressed the start button.

The bugger is going to be an even bigger big head now, two problems I have had and both diagnosed over the phone immediately, he does know his stuff that bloke.
