I coming down to watch the FA cup final tomorrow with my son (10). I'm going to drive to an outlying tube station in the morning and catch a tube into town. Other than the usual is there anything worth doing for a few hours before the match.

Cheers
Paul

The dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum might be worth a visit.

If the kids is into cars, a walk down from Knightsbridge to Park Lane supercar spotting may be an idea. Just don't let him turn into the next Shmee...

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Did a long weekend a few years ago and ticked off a lot of the major venues then. HMS Belfast is looking favourite at the mo.

If the game at Wembley? If so then parking out on the Jubliee Line (Stanmore isn't far off the M1 J5) and then running in to Green Park and pottering around Piccadilly etc might be easiest. Saves trying to navigate Tube lines at the weekend.

Do check in TFL's website if any lines aren't running though before setting off.

In Picadilly you've got plenty to see just walking around such as China Town, Leicester Sq etc. Somewhere like the Rainforest Cafe might be good for lunch.

Alternatively the traditional PH response would be to get him measured for a suite at Poole's, buy him an Aston, drop a couple of mill at a table and then helicopter over to the game and tell whatever minor Royalty is in attendance to get out of your seats. biggrin
