My 991 GTS has lovely exhaust note, but only with the exhaust button on, under moderate throttle load and over 2.5k RPM. In my 997 GT3, there was a method to unclip the vacuum pipe in the engine bay and leave the valves open permanently. Has anyone tried this or something else in a PSE equipped 991? Is there a way to leave the valves open?

On the 997 you just disconnect the plug to the vacuum control. I'd expect the 991 to be similar.

No. The set up in a 991 is completely different. Apparently it's a closed system and is linked the cooling system. My OPC said removing it can cause a coolant failure leading to engine failure. Not sure if I believe that...

I don't think so. If you pull off the vacuum pipe and don't block it, you'll get a warning message. You could pull off the pipes to the valves and plug those.

I'm suggesting unplugging the electrical connection which allows the ECU to control the 3 way valve. If that throws an alarm then you'd be back to clamping or blocking the pipes to the PSE valves.
