Anyone here had to ever paint the radiators (the actual unit, not the mesh /core) ?

Can they recommend a black matt paint I can use.

1 - 2 chunks missing and show the silver metal underneath it.
Not really noticeable but is been bugging me.

I may attempt this with a fine brush through the mesh grills without removing anything.

Thanks

Satin or matt black high temp paint will be fine but you will need to clean and give the paint something to bite to, therefore necessitating the removal of the radiator cover.

standard paints are too thick and may act as an insulator.

Not sure if this is available in the UK, but you should be able to find something like this:

I have used Eastwood radiator paint with good success on my other cars. I have not tried to touch up my Aston's radiator.

As the OP specified the body and not the core, the insulation will make no difference.
