Morning all.

Found this picture in my collection, no idea what make it is but the front bumper / wheel arch area looks very much like a Wedge.

Your thoughts ?

It's a variation on a Clan Crusader, probably one of the later recreations that came along after Clan ceased to exist.

A McCoy
Mini based (front engine rather than rear Imp engine)
Built by Arthur Birchall who worked at the Clan Factory in Washington before it closed.
Never a great success as not quite as pretty as the Clan.

all IIRC, it's a long time ago - I had a Clan from 1979 to 1984
Met Arthur at a meet once in Donnington, really nice chap.

...and the leading edge of the door to body fitment as well as the (lowered) rear spoiler.

The Clover came after the Crusader. Mid Engined (Ala 1.5), great review in Performance Car

I test drove one, felt like a kit car, handled dreadfully, had little go, bought a TVR instead!!

Clover, Irish built using the same fibreglass monocoque idea as the original except pop up lights and the alfa boxer engine in the rear. As per pic on your mag.

THe OPs pic is a McCoy.
