Fitting preamp to classic car

Not sure if this is the correct place to post but, looking to fit a preamp with 3.5mm auxiliary into the MG as a head unit is practically redundant. There are thousands of cheepo options on ebay but has anyone got any recommendations of a good one?

Sorry do not quite understand. Do you mean a FM modulator ? That will on work of course on a unit with FM!

Right, but I guess you have to hide that!! I see they do a wireless remote version. Not heard of them but for those prices and rights to return, got to be worth a try! There are specialised company's that take originals and put modern insides. The 25 year old Nissan figaro can get usb, Bluetooth and DAB .

Maybe something like this that you can fit behind the dash somewhere or build a period-styled case for it?

That looks like it's on the right lines. Just looking for something with a better power output.

50w output, but it will need an external 3.5mm stereo socket.

I shall investigate further. The sealed units look reasonable however.
