Dreamweaver / Fireworks

Just a quick question if anyone can assist.

With my numptie head on - how do I get Dreamweaver / Fireworks to display foreign characters - as in German and French letters with the various symbols above them - Umlauts (sp?) etc.

Any assistance much appreciated.

Personally I use the ALT character codes from Character Map. Go to Start... Programs... Accessories... System Tools... Character Map

Find the character you want and then either copy it to the clipboard or note down the ALT combination for it (e.g. é is ALT+0233 - hold down ALT and type in 0233) - then go to Dreamweaver and either paste or use the ALT combo.
