I've got a D500:
Pros:
Excellent screen and, for a camera phone, great pictures - well snapshots anyway.
I love being able to lock the key pad/cancel doing stuff etc just by sliding the phone.
90Mb "onboard" memory - for MP3's (I'm not sure whether that is shared by the whole phone or just for MP3's).
It's a great size when collapsed.
I actually find the user interface better than the Nokia's I've had - and it appears faster (not sure which OS it uses).
Looks very neat/well designed IMHO
Cons:
Not a Nokia so can't borrow chargers (see previous post!).
I also haven't been able to find where to buy a second charger (not looked too hard TBH).
To charge the phone you take out a tiny piece of plastic to get to the contact - whilst this keeps them free from dust - it'd really easy for a clumsy
like me to lose it.
The memory is not expandable (AFAIK).
I have heard people bemoan Samsung reliability - I haven't had it long enough to comment yet.
All in all, compared to a few friends of mine that have the 6230 - I am glad I went for the D500. I personally prefer it.

I've just sent my D500 back to Orange.
It is a fantastic phone and really intuative (speling?) however a couple of thing let it down for me.
1) no voice dialling
2) Any bluetooth action had to be confirmed with a button press.
3) No Fax Modem (Orange turn it off) but it has a GPRS Modem.
1 & 2 I could cope without, but 3 was the nail in the coffin.
Gone back to my old Sony / Eric T610 untill I work out what I want.
Such a shame Orange (and others) kill the functionality of phones like the D500 and S/E K700i with thier stupid branding.
PS. Wife loves her D500.

Another reason for getting a Nokia - Almost every where you go, someone has a charger for a Nokia phone handy!
Saved my bacon a few times when I have been working away from home for days on end!
Buy a spare for 99p you tight ass!
