Afternoon All.

I'm still struggling to download video clips to a DVD+R (?) disk. I'm able to download it in data format but this will only play on another pc - won't allow mw to play on a dvd player.

Anyone have any suggestions (Please bear in mind I'm really not very technical !)

Also, the clips I have are MPEG 3 layer format in my video files, can open via either media or nero...

many thanks!!

You need a DVD authoring application, you cannot just copy the movie file over.

Something like Adobe Encore or Sonic MyDVD

The structures of a set top box DVD-Video disk are very specific. These applications will create the properly transcoded files to play on your set top box.

I'm having a few similar problems with this, how can you tell what type/format of blank DVD (+,- etc) the rewriter on your PC uses (Obviously it doesn't mention this in the idiot guide).

Any help appreciated on this one.

Look on your drive

DVD-R and DVD-R/W

DVD†R and DVD†RW

Dual Layer DVD†R DL
