Pale blue Tuscan (Crystal Topaz?), eastbound on the A34 in Shirley, B'ham on Sat 26th Feb.

Think I know who it might be, but I want to see if he owns up!

In other words, I can't remember his handle....

That may well have been me. Was heading inbound to Birmingham at about 10am, and outbound 12-1pm or so.

I thought your Blackpool Beast was darker, this was definitely light like Crystal Topaz or the other one (is it Nuavola Blue?). Think it was about 14:30 - 15:00 too....

Damn, you mean I missed yours?! One glimpse of one Tuscan is not satisfactory if there were two in the area!!

Mark I think you'd hear James' before you saw it...

That and the fleeing crowds of small children....

Ah, not mine then. Was back up in Derby before 2. Mine kind of changes colour a bit... it's a greyish-purple in the shade, and quite a bright blue in the light.

And Greg's right... you would have heard it from a good couple of miles off!

'Ello mate, wasn't expecting to see you pop in here! How's tricks?

And yes.....I forgot about your CCC influence, James. I'm pretty sure this one had standard cans, and I'm going to hazard a guess that it was Phil Wattis.

Oooh, very good stuff! When did you say you were dropping by mine to give a demonstration of this all-powerful ECU???

I've got a mate who works at TVR Power, so I'm hoping he'll be able to work some magic on my Tusc when I get it......

Brent,

My father used to own / race a 1936 Maserati 6cm F1 very similar to the one in your profile.

He burnt it 2 a crisp in 89 / 90 at Silverstone and sold it.

Have you got some history on the 1 in your photo?

thanks in anticipation

Unbelievable how Crystal Topaz looks in different photos and light.
Have just bought Lady Topaz's old (2002) Tuscan in Crystal Topaz.
The big thaw is starting down here in deepest Kent so hopefully can go and collect the new machine ready for a few days off at Easter.
Oh Pooh, as I , another blizzard has just started. Still, I bought my current Chimaera 2 years ago in the snow and it has been a fabulous car. A good omen I hope??

Must have clicked on wrong photo when I posted the piccie. I rarely check my profile. It should have been my Chimaera!!
The Maserati isn't mine - I was at the Goodwood Revival meeting last year taking some photos for some driver friends.
I was very pleased with this shot as it is so beautifully relects that supern era when you could get up close to the F1 cars - unlike today. I do have some details of the owner/entrant somewhere. Will dig them out and email the details to you.
It is a really beautiful car. Would you like me to email a copy of the photo to you? If so, plse send your mail address.
