They should adopt the attitude of the French on this, no religious markings of any sort.

The whole point of a school uniform is to make kids look the same so that rich ones don't pick on poor ones for how they are dressed etc etc.

This is very wrong....sigh

School is about education not religion.

The French have exactly the right idea.

Religion has no place in school. It has no place in society but we have to start somewhere...

In Saudi Arabia, arab babes wear mini-skirts and high heels, then cover the lot up with an only just translucent abaya, so you can see exactly whats going on when the sun's at the right angle. Then cover their faces up except for the eyes. Works a treat.

i think there is more to this than meets the eye.
why didnt she go to a muslim only school if she felt so hard done by?
where did she get all the legal aid/solicitors from.
why make all the noise and go to the high court?
i bet some other demands arise from this and all the blaaa about her human rights, how much for suffering??????

Absolutely!

First we need to become a republic. So that the head of state is not also the head of the church.

IMO. Cases such as this do little to improve attitude towards muslins in this country.
