991 GT3RS mileage so far
Discussion
That is very impressive ! I have to say you beat me hands down , I'm too embarrassed to say mine - it's a fair few but nowhere near that . My mileage has been messed up by :
1. A fear of taking it to work as its a bit too flash (just about got away with the 991 GT3 and as such used it as a DD)
2. The arrival of my wife's 981 Spyder that she hates (apparently : "the clutch is too heavy and it's got a really fu**ing silly manual roof - I hate it !") I however love it with a passion and as such I'm using it as my new DD - in less than 3 months I've done a far more respectable 2500 miles on it .
I go out in the RS for no reason other than a drive every weekend without fail , rain or shine , but however you cut it , my performance is shocking - I feel like a fraud and I shall do better in the future , I promise .......,

There's more del miles 991 GT3/RS for sale in classifieds than 991 turbos !!!! Its a shame that many people will not put miles on them or experience what an amazing car they bought. OPCS have a lot to answer for selling these cars to people who just put them up for sale - in fact pretty sure they're complicit in it. If you want a GT3 RS surprisingly easy to get one on the used market at the mo.

6000 miles and 4 track days ! Love the car. At both Goodwood and Castle Coombe (both Porsche Club UK days) i was the only 991 RS - where are they all ?tree7777 said:
0 so far!!! Got an insurance quote today from the same people as you Rob they have limited me to 5000 mlies a year!! My age maybe? Sucks being young lol.
Hi Tree, if the premium is competitive still go for it, then up the mileage limit as and when, they will not charge you any more. The cover Locktons offer is superb (underwritten by Chubb). As for being young try being old!!!Well done to you guys driving them, I've seen a couple on the road and at track days and it's great to see them in use. Unless you're aiming to make money on them I wouldn't worry about the mileage, worst case scenario you get all your money back and you've driven a 991RS more than anyone else!

Well done for those of you coming forward . I would guess that those who are not are "flippers". I sincerely hope that Porsche and their OPC's read this post and do their damnedest to supply their future GT cars to people who intend driving them !!
agree with that; maybe with the court case and also the GT4 debacle things will change in terms of who is offered a car; maybe!tree7777 said:

How old are you? It sucks being young when it comes to insurance. I only have a 991 gt3 and am 30 which isn't that young anymore but Henderson Taylor were competitive

Really like the RS but only around 800 miles so far, I also have the same Spyder 'issue', so it's not easy !!
Hi Sandy ; yep it's a cheeky little monkey the Spyder , I honestly can't think of a car that gives more smiles per £ than the baby arachnid - bargain of the century IMHO . I just think that they are a fine pair - like Father and son : the RS is super serious and fit for purpose - an awesome thing , proper , proper car. Then the Spyder is just so easy - small , nimble , manual (short rifle bolt like throw) , more than fast enough for the real world - it's proper quick . Roof is fun IMHO , I love the manual interaction - it's very easy and then there's the noise -
how that passed the regs I have no idea ??? - Keep well Edited by RSVP911 on Thursday 2nd June 08:08

Cheers, must say I haven't really been able to get the roof down as much as I'd like so far in NE Scotland, but I'm sure our week of summer should arrive at some point !!
