Hi All

We will be making our way from Roscoff to Le Mans for the Classic next month.

We are in a Motorhome and looking for 2 overnights between Roscoff and the circuit. Can anyone recommend any good sites in between?

Also looking for a one stop between Le Mans and Caen for the return trip.

Thanks

The Leaper

Don't know what kind of accommodation you're looking for but son and I have often used the Ibis Hotel at Falaise at Le Mans time. Full facilities and reasonably priced and directly on the route from Le Mans to Caen. If you go for it and want local restaurant recommendations I can help perhaps.

Why the 2 overnight stops?

It's only a 3-4 hour drive.

Ahh right.

A mate of mine is going that way on the 15th for LM24h, maybe he'll spot somewhere on the way and let you know.

If you want to stick to the coast for a bit St. Malo is a lovely little town and has a camp site on the top of the hill with views over the sea. We used to camp there in the double decker (tight squeeze under the bridge) when we used to go to Le Mans in it 10+ years ago.

Carnac is very pretty, that's a couple of hours South/South East of Roscoff and on the coast. Stayed there a few years ago and recall loads of sites. Easy onwards to Rennes and then Le Mans from there. Would make quite a nice loop down.

Carnac is very nice - quite a few years since I have been there, but have good memories. You also have the Quiberon peninsula nearby. And La Trinite Sur Mer is pretty much the home of French offshore yacht racing.

I was going to suggest the opposite. Why not visit the Normandy coast - Arromanches, D-Day museum, Mont St Michel, etc.
