2.8i metering head connections
Discussion
Hello everybody,
I'm trying to work out if the metering head connections on my car are as they should be, because one of the input/outputs has been blanked off, and on a 2nd hand one I bought there's a banjo with a cut line on that one.
The connection in question, ringed in green:

My diagram of how mine is connected:

I'd really appreciate it if somebody with a 2.8i can follow their lines and tell me where they go (or photos, of course
).
Cheers,
Tim.

Hmmm, I recognise that engine bay!
Here is a picture of my metering head, with some connections numbered on it

And this one shows the one that you don't have connected, but is definitely connected on mine

And here is what I think its all conencted to (was a bit dark in the garage just now, so will take a better look in the daylight tomorrow)
1 - From Fuel Pump/filter
2 - Return to tank
3 - From the warm up regulator
4 - To the warm up regulator
5 - (This is the one not connected on yours, but is on mine) To the Cold Start injector
Mine is running fine, so I'm assuming its all connected properly!
Hope that is of some help, let me know if you want any other pictures or info.

Many thanks gents, that's perfect: mystery solved.
The cold start injector feed links directly off the input from the filter/tank (number 1 on the photo) on mine:

Everything else is as on your list, so I'll move onto a WUR/metering head rebuild on the spare and hook it back up as it currently is when I'm done.

perfect timing, I just put mine back together and "I concur".
Are we still all using the original nylon lines or should they be retired in fovour of something better? Doesn't seem to be much out there...
Hi mate...There was a 280i at a Wedgefest on year that had stainless braided fuel line...Ill dig the picture out...Are we still all using the original nylon lines or should they be retired in fovour of something better? Doesn't seem to be much out there...
There is a company in the US who make these for Porsche 928 which had the same K-Jetronic...Just one more cylinder..

There was a company in the UK making them but they were over braided normal fuel hose so were collapsing under pressure/Vacuum...Not good!.
PS: Andy...Jon posted up the list...However i did post up a pic of the same engine bay...From the same Wedge...
