Hi

Friend of mine took some awesome photos for me recently, and I'd like to get 6 of them framed for my office.

I've been trying to find some companies that will do this, and came across these guys who do what looks like a decent finish. I have no frame of reference though, and they want £145 per 80x45cm print - which intuitively feels expensive?

Their Trustpilot reviews (10 total) don't inspire confidence either, although their website is decent enough.

Anyone got any other recommendations? A friend mentioned FractureMe but they are based in the States and inexplicably only seem to handle 4:3 prints?

Thanks in advance for suggestions smile

I've used Loxley (https://www.loxleycolour.com) before and can happily recommend them. They don't seem to do glass but they do acrylic but I may have missed it. Quality of prints has always been very good and they deliver fast.

Thanks, will give them a go. Looks like they can only do up to 60x40 though, which is a shame.

Acrylic printing is very expensive. The print itself is pennies but you would be surprised just how much a sheet of cut acrylic costs.

There is no printing on to glass as such. There are two ways these prints are made. You either have two pieces of acrylic and then sandwich a print inbetween the two or alternatively, you can have a print laminated to the back of a sheet of acrylic. Both can look great if done properly.

I don't work for them any more but will point you at my old company, www.canvashut.com .. Great guys that can offer both types of acrylic mounting. Quality is second to none using high end Canon kit.

Mention pistonheads and they might just give you a discount, I always used to smile

We supply a lot of these from individuals to large blue chip companies and various different and bespoke sizes.

I won't quote for the job just simply say that's not expensive and you definately get what you pay for yes

Before you go the glass route, look at painting on metal

Its alot lighter, wafer thin, just,if not more glossy (you not need to look through any material to see it) and apart from being bent (which would snap the glass version as well) its pretty resliant to light, water etc so can even be hung outside if you wished.

I just got one done and love it, plus they come with a inch gap to mount away from the wall.

you can get them matt or shiny or even without any base coat so the aluminum brush shows through, can be affective with some photos.

I think they surpass the glass/acrylic look personaly
