well the drama goes on...and thank god for the aftermarket warranty. The car is in for the exhaust to be welded back on etc, lots of small niggles, new tyres and geo...reported a slightly crunchy 5th gear and guess what - yes the gearbox is buggered so now its on its way back to TVR to be sorted out - suggested eta about 3-4 days or so.

So from buying a mint car with 10K miles on it, in 5K miles since its had:

engine rebuild (follower issue)
new rear shocks (collapsed)
gearbox rebuild
various electrical sensors
oil pressure sensor (leaking post rebuild)
various seals etc
new tyres all around
headlight falling out
exhaust rotted through

and numerous other small niggles now forgotton about ...oh well, at this rate we'll have a new car ready for the summer as every component will have been replaced !
