Well, it's certainly unique. Now needs conversion to 996...or handing over to RWB to really £$%^ it up

Wouldn't it have been better if they'd started with a 993 and converted it to a 964?

Because ten/five years ago you couldn't give away a 964, but 993 prices have always been firm.

It wasn't that long ago that people converted older cars to look like modern (for then cars). Many 3.2s got the 964 look, and early going later etc. 10 years ago these cars were cheap as chips and had been for ages, and so it wasn't such an odd thing to do.

In those days every magazine slagged off 964s for their once dodgy gasket less heads and therefore leaking constantly, and when combined with the original fly wheel that disintegrated, well they were just a pile of st, why would buy one. And the most ridicule was reserved for the 964 RS, which was just crap.

Oh, what a different world we live in now, yet the cars haven't changed.....

How the Porsche world has changed. Its not that long ago that it was all about trying to make your old car look like a new one.

Very few people 'update' Porsches like this anymore. Except maybe the 997 gen 1 to gen 2 posers? biggrin

It isn't, it was more popular than you'd give credit for a few years ago (though not as popular as G Series to 964) . As posted previously, it's always the wipers that give them away.
