Travellers - Sandy/Biggleswade

Does anyone know if there's been any travellers setting up shop recently in or around Sandy/Biggleswade?

We've caught two of them in the last two weeks sniffing around our garage and driveway then leaving when challenged.

From experience it's not like the static site lot to do that, more like the roaming ones.

A few weeks ago a whole bunch of travellers took up residence by the roundabout off J10 of the A1. Not a safe place to hang out the washing and I heard there were some "issues" at the Baldock services once they'd arrived. Police moved them on pretty fast. Don't know where they went but maybe they moved a junction or two up the road?

Was at the nursery @ Coreys Mill Roundabout aka Stevo/Hitchin junction and theres around 10 caravans parked up there on the bit of land the staff at Lister park on. Looked like theyd been there a while as cutting wood, cockerel running about etc.

They moved into Stotfold, the nature reserve near the mill, of all places. Left a load of rubbish as usual, but fortunately were moved off just before the steam fair weekend.

The phrase from the film Snatch always springs to mind when travellers are mentioned!

I live in Sandy and there does seem to be a fair few 3.14keys around recently, not sure if they're from the resident lot or as you say, actually travelling
