Oil

Hi i have a tvr wedge with a 4.5 chimaera serp v8 engine the oil i have in it is lucas 20/50 mineral racing only high zinc has eny one hear got it in there engine getting 55 psi at 2000 rpm

20/50 high zinc sounds fine to me. I have VR1 20/50 and 50-55psi hot with mechanical gauge.

Ive seen it around but never used it. Seems to get mixed reviews online but that could be said with any oil, ive always been led to believe the yank oils are slightly better quality than ours.

Vr1 will,be fine rember it s old engine design and anyway I always oil change every year

Apparently the Racing bit is because of the zinc (a states EPA thing) I am reliably informed any oil that contains high levels of ZDDP/Zinc as to wear the Racing banner to distinguish the oil type/use, agree with those above VR1 is a good oil
