We are looking to buy an auto diesel 5 door Evoque and are a little confused regarding spec. Can anyone tell me the differences between the various models, ie tech, dynamic, pure etc. what's top dog and what's essential to have versus nice to have. Car is for wife, no green laning, more Marks and Sparks

TIA

Commenting here as I need to know this stuff as well. My wife turned up with a 2013 SD4 yesterday and I don't know anything about it. It came with a huge spec though.

Are they all 4x4? I seem to recall hearing that it is an option and many are 2WD.

It is a silver 3 door car with 22 inch black wheels, so looks pretty gangster.

depends if you are looking at new or a couple of years old, because I think on the slight facelift model (2015 maybe 14) the badging changed. I had a 2013 model (now sold) so can comment a bit on the previous range:

Bottom up:
Pure
Pure Tech - a few more gadgets, sat nav etc
Prestige - kind of focused on luxury
Dynamic - supposedly more about performance, but not so sure about that

Yes you can get them in 2WD and 4WD. SD4 is 4WD, eD4 is 2WD

Ish to the above, though the Prestige stopped production early/mid 2014.
Pure is most basic spec, no NAV, heated screen etc.
Pure Tech got you the NAV and a couple of other gadgets.
Dynamic got you the dynamic suspension, uprated leather and a better choice of interior colours, NAV, heated screen, power seats, nicer body styling, fog lights (doesn't look right without) and a few other bits and pieces that are extras on the lower models.

plus prestige and dynamic could have Lux pack that adds more goodies like cameras, power boot etc
