Warning comes on when I drive (not when I set the alarm).

Any ideas / where is the sensor?

Cheers

If it is the same as the Boxster (same 996 part no.) then there is a micro-switch as part of the latch. It has a lever which can be tweaked. Not sure if it is available separately.

Try hoovering out the crap around the switch on the sill.

Try pulling the red lever back and letting go if it a few times so it "twangs" the mechanism, that gets my frunk light working when it gets jammed up.

Could try a suit of wd40 on it. My light wasn't working in there so I changed it thinking the bulb had gone but it was just the micro switch which was solved by the wd. There were no warning lights for me tho but sometimes I have to really press it shut.

This.
Had a small grain of grit under the switch, which made it alarm on the dash.
