Blown cars what plug ratings are you running

As the name suggests, I am running 8,s did try 9,s on the advice of the engine builder but they kept fouling , so what's in yours ???

8s gapped at 0.8mm...no noticeable difference from 7s. However I live in a warmer climate so maybe a cooler plug won't show fouling issues. Hope this helps

I run 6's on advice from mapper gapped at 1.0 mm with MCD coil packs and direct fire. Was on 7's and tickover was lump city and he said 6's would cure it and being low CR would be best. I doubted yet tried and what a difference, he was right.

The earth electrode will tell you if it's correct. 7's would be a safe/good place to start and I used projected nose types.

I've ran NGK BPR6ES (non turbo) and the plug colour is perfect compared to the black sooted 7's. Just putting the NGK Iridium 6's in. £55 for 8 great value.

6s are great for non turbo/sc. 7s are for turbo/sc

Think ii will have a chat with Dave Rowe at eps motorsport who is doing a remap of mine to see what ratings he suggests, just wondering why you guys have gone hotter ?

That said mines ran fine , might pull a plug to see what the colour looks like

Just a thought...
would a blown engine have different requirements from the plugs on and off boost.
Maybe a clean plug when driven at normal road speeds but the plug fails under heavy boost???

Currently on 7s, was initially on 8s as that's what I used in it NA

Never really had any significant cold fouling issues so may go back to 8s for the extra heat-dissipation protection they offer as I turn up the wick
