Out driving yesterday, went to lower the drivers window and was treated to a loud bang and a clunk?
Window raised again but without full auto mode but now will not move.
I can here what I guess is the motor when I press up or down but no movement.
Fortunately, the window is fully closed.

Sounded like something sheared off.
Any advise welcome.

I had the same with mine, new regulator required as the cables had snapped. I think you can buy a repair kit if you don't mind doing a bit of DIY. I remembered what fun I've had in the past replacing regulators so paid a man to replace mine. I think a complete genuine Mercedes regulator was around £150 plus fitting.

Echo the above and its a fiddly job.

Also a bit of a bugger aligning the height because of the door drop mechanism for the frameless doors.

If doing it yourself remember there is a switch in the door close which mimics the door close state so you can set the height easily. Took me a lot of tloe and swearing to figure that out.

Thanks for the feedback chaps.
I guess the bang I heard was the cable going.
No, wont be doing it myself but it will have to wait a few weeks until the summer is out of the way.
Its TVR time smile
