Factory Visit To Stuttgart
Discussion
Depends how long you have, but the driving highlights in the immediate vicinity of Stuttgart are the roads and scenery of the Black Forest. Head for Strasbourg in France, which is worth a stop, or if you have time, Freiburg in South-West Germany, which gives you the length of the Black Forest and is a lovely old city. I usually take the motorway across France, which is great and quiet. Reims is a nice stop for lunch to see the cathedral and pick up some Champagne. There's plenty of French countryside to enjoy if you want to take your time.
I would echo the above - Frieburg is lovely however you may want to go a different route there and back. I went via Holland last time. Stayed in Ghent as the building site that was the city centre is now all but complete. Then went across to Cologne before heading down towards the Black Forest going to Stuttgart first and then Heidelburg, Frieburg etc. Some great roads through the forests etc before heading back through France. Overall a great holiday to have in europes greatest country.
