Contact Matthew Taylor, Henderson Taylor Insurance Consultants. Many TVR & Lotus owners have shifted there over the past three years, Chimaera policies are in the £250/yr region for 6k miles. 0800 917 2007

Performance Direct for the last 4 years for me. They allow you to accrue NCD on a classic policy, unlike most. My premium is now less than £300 (started at over £600) with up to 6000 miles and value guaranteed.

Had a few more in the 3-400 range, so FJ it will be.

With all the bells and whistles of course!

I had a very competitive quote from FJ today. Anyone had any experience of making a claim on one of their policies? I've been with Manning since 2004 and have always heard good things re their handling of claims.

I just bought insurance from FJ and was really impressed by the cover and the price. Because I have a 4.3 brake upgrades and bodywork mods, it came to £281. would have been £211 without. Compared to A Manning, who have always been great, they wanted £411. I haven't got track day cover, but I have got a £15 payment that would allow me to buy back the salvage car instead of paying 15% of the pre crash value.

I tried FJ, used to use them years ago when I had Lotus cars. They wouldn't quote me for some reason. Maybe because it isn't 20 y.o. yet? (May be other factors too, like no garage in my postcode etc.). Had someone hit me last year too in my normal car on a scooter, but no damage to my car and no claim.

Anyway, I've renewed with Classicline, £205. smile Only 1500 miles though. I know, I know. Shameful. nono
