No SPARK?

Got the engine back in but no spark. Could this be caused by no fuel pressure (different story) Would MS2 pick this up and cease the spark?
Any advice greatly appreciated......so near to getting back up and running

make sure you have all the MS earths connected.

Thanks for the reply Derek. The only earth wires that I disconected were two small ones that were attached to the fuel rail by the coil packs. Are there any more that I could be looking at. It does register the trigger wheel on t' computer.

Sounds like earths to me as well Barrie.

Check at the back of the manifold, follow the loom and make sure that you have connected every earth. I missed one off and wasted a couple of hours when I had no spark or fuel, I can't remember which!

Thanks Peter. Had no fuel due to connecting the in and return the wrong way round....duh. That was after asking which one went to each, so now have fuel going into the rail. However one one of the injectors is pissing fuel out, new O rings ordered for tomorrow.

I would check the crank sensor, if you've got a laptop for the MS2 you can check its seeing crank pulses. The MS2 will prime the fuel pump but only fire the Sparks when it's sees a good crank signal

Is the main ecu earth wire earthed properly.

Power leads to the coil packs all ok ?

Have you tried for a spark on all 8.

No that should be fine then, if its displaying a cranking rpm on the laptop then its definitely getting a good signal. What is your setup is it twin ford coils? As carsy said I would check a couple of sparks, at least one from each coil pack.

MS2 don't have a fuel pressure input so it should be good to go now the fuel hoses are connected correctly. Now you're checked the earths, I would confirm you've got 12v going to the coils. It could be a stuck relay or blown fuse.

Thanks for all your replies. It has started!!!! The problem was the some idiot (ME) hadn't tightened up the earth terminal on the battery.

I think I would be pushing my luck after spending so much time in the workshop. The car still isn't running properly, miss firing and back firing so needs further investigation.
