Well according to that there should have been all sorts of strikes over the last few days but looks like most people/unions are taking no notice of who ever they are

We are on the tunnel Tuesday. From memory I've travelled before during a French strike and the tunnel was ok. Fingers crossed for same again!

Not much difference between the French being on strike and their normal working habits.

Yep, make sure you fill up with petrol/diesel in England - just in case....!!! Although my oil burner could almost get us down there and back on one tank if needed...

Still trying to work out how to get the required 40mpg out of an S3 that only does 30mpg with a tailwind... Looks like I'd better plan a stay in Rennes on the way home! Or lift and coast...

Brittany Ferries have cancelled some sailings to Le Havre on Monday and Tuesday. My father in law was meant to be going out Monday night, not sure what he is going to do now.

They are moving people onto other crossings so he may be ok

lol - indeed biggrin
According to the French radio, less and less people are actually on strike. I would expect it to be all normal in France by next week...

We have friends who live down that way and there have been no problems. In addition a group of Aston friends went to La Chartre for a few days last week and again had no problems.

I have spoken to Brittany Ferries at 11.40 today Friday 10th June.

They have informed me it is a 1 day strike only and no further sailings will be affected. All boats will be in the right places and sailings on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are not affected.
