Hiring glass for Silverstone Motogp

Considering hiring this :

with maybe a 1.4 to go on my D300.

What do you guys think ?

I can't comment on the specific lens as I don't use Nikon but for reach spectator side at Silverstone that should just be about enough. The last time I shot bikes at Silverstone I rarely dropped below 600mm. These were with a Sigma 120-300 with a x2 fitted.
