Pressure pushing down on me....

My new hybrid says max 85 psi on the tyres. I'm nearly 18 stone.

Even at 85psi, its looking a bit flat and could do with more air, which undoubtedly would lower the rolling resistance.

Secondly, it won't stay at 85psi, it falls off after a few days.

Options for super highly inflated tyres that stay that way?

700 by 25? Mabes. Will check lunchtime.

I think the issue is mainly that I'm a fatty.

If the max. pressure is 85psi then they'll likely be wider than 25, probably 28 or 30.

Heat makes a difference, did my tyres up to 120psi last night and they felt a bit soft on the tarmac, a few months back if I did them that pressure I would have lost all my fillings and blown a tyre if I hit a pot hole!

Higher pressures don't usually equal lower rolling resistance.

On a velodrome, yes. Real roads, no.

Well, I can get 700x28 up to 110psi safely - Conti Gator Hardshells. Not the nicest ride mind you, but they'll suffer up to 120psi I believe.
