I've got a real burning desire in me to treat myself to a nice watch. I spend hours trawling sites like Watch Finder looking at them.

My biggest issue is the size of the watch, as my wrists are quite small.

I've been very much drawn to the Breitling Aerospace (42mm case), however, should I be feeling concerned about spending this kind of money on a 'quartz' watch. Is there any logic in me thinking like this? Can someone put this in to perspective for me?

Also any other suggestions of similar ish watches for my small wrists?

Thanks

I've had an Aerospace for 25 years, it's been a really great watch with no problems at all, and a great timekeeper.

If you want a smaller watch like the Aerospace, you could look at older versions, they were only 40mm.

Great watch, mine's 20 years old this year. I still wear it daily and use most of the functions regularly. It looks quite understated for a Breitling.

It's a popular choice (I'm not keen on the bezel marker bits, always look a bit 'gothic' to me).

Used they make a lot more sense - To be honest, no watch makes a lot of sense if you're rational, except possibly a £50 Sekonda!

The Breitling SHOULD keep better time than a cheap quartz watch, but will you notice the difference? Probably not.

It'll definitely keep better time than a £10K Rolex though! (Or any mechanical watch).

I've got a 40mm Aerospace that I rarely wear as it now 'feels' small compared to my other watches. I think because its titanium and feels light it gives the impression of being smaller than it really is.

Point is, are you sure a 42mm is too big for you? Its also a relatively thin watch.

I've got a Repetition Minutes F65362 which I think was the sweet spot for the Aerospace in terms of size & style. It's a very light watch & performs very well. It's nice to have a "get up & go" watch amongst my mainly mechanical collection & you can pick them up for a reasonable price. I'm quite fancying a Night Mission in the future though.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think next step is to go and try one. I think the thin nature of it, might be a winner in terms of sizing.

I may even try the new 43mm Aerospace Evo.
