We're going to niece 1's wedding soon and the dreaded question has just been asked.

I managed to avoid the headlight-hypnotised rabbit impression but failed the right choice!
And she's just bought the one I rejected. And it cost lots. And she loves it.
Apparently saying "I'll still go with you whichever one you wear" doesn't cut it.

I think I got away with it though smile

regards,
Jet

You will always make the wrong choice.
The one you reject she will think its because it makes her look fat -- or any number of other reasons.

Yes, it does look big in that. It looks big in most things, really.

It's got these odd hip extension folds sticky out bits. Makes her look rather wide in the hips.
Which she isn't at all, most odd smile

I suspect that saying "It's up to you love, you'll be the one wearing it" would not be appropriate, nor will several years later, when you don't remember it saying "Well you only wore it the once"

Mash is past its best I fear. Too brief and undeveloped. Emphasis for the short of attention span.
Sniff Petrol on the other hand is still, er, smelly - another city bans another type of car, and they're French

Stupidly I saw the thread title and thought yay somebody's been daft enough to put pictures of their partner up in different dresses for the Internet to appraise, very disappointed!

My Mrs asked if her new dress made her look fat, I said no it was all the biscuits she scoffs on that made her look fat.

It's a trap....

This has nothing to do with the dress, it's about supporting their decision.
They already know which dress or cake or shoes they want, it's up to you to guess correctly or suffer the consequences.

You can increase the odds of success if you choose the most expensive one as it is quite likely she just wants approval of spending an inappropriate amount.

The wife..."Does my bum look big in this?"

Me..."Sweetheart, we're in the kitchen, it's the smallest room in the house, ask me when we're in the lounge."

I laughed...she didn't.

Wife: "I look fat in this dress. Can you give me a compliment?" Husband: "You have perfect eyesight."
