996 C2 Gen2 Intermittent throttle issue

Hi, can anyone suggest a fix for this. 996 C2 Gen2 - running: LW flywheel, IPD throttle body, sport air filter (non-oiled type) and resonator bypass. Whilst driving, my car will for no obvious reason it will sometimes refuse to accellerate past about 1 third throttle position (the fun bit). I have also noticed when this happens that the idle becomes erratic. If I stop, turn off the ignition and immediatley restart the car it fixes the problem until the next time it happens. There are no warning lights up, currently its happening once or twice a day. I have repeatedly tried the recommended throttle position reset procedure which whilst sharpening up the throttle action, doesn't seem to make any difference to how often this happens.
This is the method I am using..
1- Remove the key from the ignition
2- Reinsert the key and turn the ignition on to position 2 for 60 seconds (do not touch the throttle).
3- Turn the key off for 10 sec (do not touch the throttle)
4- The throttle is now re-adapted and vehicle can be started and operated as normal
The air temp sensor was replaced last year when this began happening and it has been fine since although it has done probably only 1500 miles since. Wondering if it is warm weather related as it was about this time last summer when I had the issues previously.

I had similar on my 996 and it turned out to be that I had not put the throttle pedal connectors back together securely. It was the connector under the dash just above the throttle pedal and although the 2 parts were clicked together, they were not fully engaged and caused an intermittent fault. After pushing them back together with a bit more force the car has been fine.
Probably not your problem though unless you have been touching that connector.
