First 'weekend car' and some serious fun. Took her through a drive around the chilterns this morning stopping at Ashridge for some pics. Coming from german metal this is something else! Character, passion and fun - that engine note is stunning!! Many more smiles to come I hope!

I love these, the engine note is mega and I think the interior in them is possibly better than the newer cars. So many older cars fall down on the interior, but these are works of art.

Yes I think you are right, see the pics below. She needs a little TLC to bring her back up to former glory. The steering wheel is fading and the elec window switches are too but still looking splendid in cream leather all round.

This would be my choice for a weekend car and hopefully will be when I've moved house. I like original features on mine but your mods are fairly restrained. Great colour combo, can't wait to join the fold

Yer, the grills are from the GS - I quite like them they make the car look more edgy, however I know the purists won't like them, the grey wing mirrors and lower skirts are from a previous wrap, so keeping them on for a while and see if I like them.

Gransport was the ultimate evolution of the line I think, and the last car before the Gran Turismo. I think it was a bit sportier, and only available with the auto box and a few other "options" as standard (Skyhook suspension?)

Yer 3200 (famous boomerang lights) then in 2002 roughly it turned to 4200 lost the twin turbo v8 3.2 in favour of a n/a 4.2 v8- now chain driven a lot more stronger and robust engine. Then roughly 2006/7 I believe it evolved into gransport. Looks a lot better now, same engine as far as I'm aware. Interior and whole car a lot more modern. Not an expert But research via sports maserati dot com lol

Soo gorgeous, timeless design IMHO. The boomerang 3200 is probably nicer looking overall but i'd choose the 4200 to own. Can't believe how relately cheap they are to buy, Ijust couldn't stomach the potential for massive bills or i'd have one in an instant

The engine in these is absolutely glorious, the 4200 is great value too, can't think of many better weekend cars, especially if you need 4 useable seats

Yer you hit the nail on the head, the engine is the best part of this car, the Roar is immense and pulling away in any gear ! Actually really love the f1 paddle shift Cambiocorsa gearbox now get used to it after a week now but so good !!!
