starter motor wiring
Discussion
ok so just tried to start the car. thought it was the hot start issue. no so - stone cold after 2 days in the garage. all as before pumps prime turn the key the extra bit and nothing. jacked it up waggles the wires to the starter motor and it fires. waggle them again and it does so loose connection then. the bolted connections look ok. the one that feels loose is the white wire with the connector on it. my question what does this wire do - its too small to be earth or live?

Thanks all for the help. The spade connector sorted the starter. The stalling was the the speedo problem and was just a badly adjusted sensor.. 10 minute job. Stripped it off, cleaned it properly, chucked it back on and adjusted it and it all works fine. In a standard car it will be hard to get at though. In mine the rear shelf has a removable panel over the diff so I just jacked it up slotted it in first and let the rear wheels spin on idle while I adjusted the sensor until it picked up a signal. YEY
