Ive been stupid in the past
Hands up!
I fell behind on a credit card, it want to an agency and ive been paying an agreed amount off every month per their agreement.
But suddenly they wont let me logon to pay, I call and struggle to get anything useful (not used to be people rining up to pay?)
Anyway they say the orignal company (credit card company) have taken back the debt...
What is going on? Who do I speak to?
This debt has been with scotcall then fidelity for like 5 years.. why take it back now? I dont even know the orignal account number with the credit card company.
Anyone have any suggestions? Other than you are a dumb S**T?

The creditor used a debt collection agency to collect on their behalf. They are now appointing an alternative, intending on collecting themselves or have sold the debt on to a third party who will collect themselves or appoint someone to do so.
Just sit tight. Someone will contact you soon enough to arrange payment.
Yes.
The creditor should record the debt as a default after three months contractual repayments have been missed. Six years after they do it will automatically disappear from your credit record.
Get a copy of your statutory report from Experian or Equifax to see what's recorded, it costs £2. You could also try Noddle which is free but not as comprehensive as the big two.
