Well after 33k @18mpg it's nearly time to move on from the M5 , it's been a good car which you almost take for granted.

However I've been lucky with local work the last few years but that will change l, also fed up of visiting the garage for fuel!

So back to a 435d I reckon for some fuel range action.

I thought you were going for a Q7?

My F10 M5 goes in three months.

If Heineken made the best all-round car in the world.......

Still, onwards and downwards smile

Yes , got the q7 coming in the next four weeks. That's for family duties, would like a sports car but with a house to renovate then it's not to be. The M5 has been great as an all rounder , best £300 spent was the split fold seats for trips to b&q......

435d may seem sensible but god you'll get bored.

I am counting down the days, weeks and months until I am in a position to get out of my 640d after moving from a C63 Coupe.

It's not that the 640d is a bad car, for 90% of the time when doing normal driving duties it is fine, especially since it's chipped, but if you want a spirited drive it is lacking. All of the features that you get from an M or AMG car are lacking... average handling (hideous on 435d with SE suspension), overly active ESP and a diesel engine...

It's great filling up every 2-3 weeks and getting 500 miles from a tank, but I'd rather fill up every week and have a decent petrol engine again.

I've specced about 30 different variations of M4 and M3 Competition Pack and that's whats coming next.

I love my 640d, genuinely great place to sit and I got a cracking deal, but god am I bored.
