911 Brake Squeal
Discussion
Brought a used 911 911.1 from OPC few months back. All was good until I started to get brake squeal as I brake. It comes on at low speeds as car about to stop. Tried usual hard stop tricks but didnt work. OPC took it in and greased pads (they were new) and went away for while but now back.
Its annoying as in summer have window down and listening out for the exhaust tones.
Any advice? Is this perhaps just normal for a 911. Looked around in other forums and seems it might be.
Appreciated.

not on a 911 but had major issues on my M5 which I bought new two years ago. Took three visits and eventually they replaced the front calipers after having replaced the pads and discs previously. It drove me mad.
Be relentless because it shouldn't squeal. it will ruin your enjoyment. Certainly did mine.

Was told by a braked specialistic your suffering from brake squeal its the gases struggling to escape between disc and pad. Solution they came up with was to saw a grove through middle off pads affected, top to bottom and if discs are ventilated clean all exit chambers, if drilled clean holes..
