Exhaust to block Support bolt - M8?

I've lost the bolt that supports the front of the exuhast by bolting into the block.

Can anyone confirm if its M8 or imperial please.

I've tried an M6 but its too small and guess which is the only size I don't have.

I have searched the Steve Heath bible, but with no results to report.
I think it's imperial, because the engine is of US origin, but cannot be sure.
The exhaust manifold bolts are imperial.
Someone will know.
