Still in can believe it

Last September i managed to secure a life long dream of owning a 911. With lots of trepidation and thoughts about all the warning signs over the 996 engine, I stepped in feet first and brought a 53 reg 996 C4S Tip with 46k on the clock, a dotted history (due to being exported to IOM).
What did it for me, was that Cridfords (whom i purchased it from) had sold it to the previous owner and then brought it back several years later and with a 6 month warranty. Took it across the Belgium a few times, and it sticks to the road like glue, even when hitting above 130...
The C4S for me was the only one to have with a fantastic body from any angle, and a two tone interior (black / grey seat inserts) - yet to see another quite like it.
After a couple of teething issues (starter motor / reversing sensor) and then investing in the LN IMS upgrade, two new rear tyres, the car gets me every time i drive it, and i can't get enough of it, finding excuses to go out for a spin around the sussex countryside.
Yes it does need some work in the future - front suspension (small squeaks occasionally) / wheels need refurb / radio not great (signal not good) and exhaust boxes will need doing as well, but even with all that i don't care.
Every time i go into the garage, I have my Bond moment.... and still in love with it.

To the OP, can I ask where you had the IMS upgrade work carried out? Did you bother to replace the clutch also (relatively low mileage on yours for the clutch I guess)?
I'd be interested to know cost and satisfaction level also - I respect if you don't want to reply publicly, please PM me. Thanks
