One for the SEO people - wrong page ranking for keyword.

Strange one this but I have a keyword that I obviously want to be at the top of page 1 for.
The keyword has moved up from page 3 to now page 1... however it's for an accessory of the item, not the actual item itself or the brand itself (keyword targeted is the brand name, and the brand + model) both results go to the same accessory.
The accessory in question doesn't have a massive amount of info or SEO effort so I'm not sure why this page is ranking over the products which have had more effort put in.
Is there any way to fix this? I'm finally on page 1 for the term for both my websites, but for the wrong bloody product!!
