Are Scottish £100 notes rare now?
I thought they were just another high denimination Scottish note, but
I keep seeing listings on a certain auction site offering the sale of Scottish £100 notes, but for way more than their £100 face value??

I'd buy one for £100... less if I could. But not more.

They're not rare at all, but once a Scotsman has a hold of one, he's not letting it go again. wink

Heh. Many years ago I paid the £5000 balance for a car with cash. I remember leaving the building society on the Saturday morning with 50 £100 notes in my pocket, and every single person on the high street was a potential mugger/pickpocket. I've never been so glad to see the back end of a wad of notes in my life.

Who uses big notes these days? I've never used or even seen a £100 since, or a £50. I rarely even carry anything larger than a tenner; I suspect I'm not in the minority.
