Yesterday I foolishly added my name to a interest group on Yahoo because I wanted to read reviews on a forthcoming crusining holiday. Now I am inundated with people in their mother's back bedroom emailing their thoughts on the ethical position of dismatling Norweigan liners and the pwer output of electric turbinny things(true). I have gone back and deleted myself but the sad sacks keep emailing me on a minute by minute bais. I can hardly read the viagra and fake rolex ads. . How can I turn it off????????? before I go mad or start geting sexually excited about crusing speeds and berthing areas?

They've gotcha now. Sorry.

Buy a Spam filter and let it take the strain.

Or get a new email address.

Or better yet - get a new email address by changing to an ISP the filters this crap before it even gets to you, like Demon for example.

If you can't bear to change address - then a cheap and effective solution is to buy iHateSpam from Sunbelt Software. Good. Cheap. Effective and you can have it downloaded and installed in twenty minutes.

The relief is like diving into a cool pool on a hot day.

I did think it might take 24 hours or something to update the site. The alternative is I redirect the email to any old address (somewhere on one of those viagra addresses) and let someone else take the strain.

The barrage has ceased. May be because Herb from Ohio is sleeping but touch wood, gone very quiet.
