Upgraded headlights

Find someone who has them fitted first, and make sure you like the light pattern and intensity. It's a fair wedge of cash to spend just to be disappointed with the results.
Also, cost it fully before you start OP - then cost the mark 3 faired in lights (I think Central TVR near Brm do a conversion including any spray work) - and see which you prefer.

I personally think the Lopo's look naff, I'd go for the the Central ones, I think that price also includes new head light bulbs if I remember rightly.
I've been to Central recently for a windscreen replacement and the new premises and the people he's got working there appear to be doing a fine job.

I'd personally go for a set of these. http://www.centraltvr.com/product/headlamp-reflect... but that's because I don't like the MK3 lights or the lupo mod. I've had 120% HID lamps fitted and they are ok, could be better.

I like the original look, old lenses etc which is why I have two second hand reflectors sitting in the wings awaiting the day mine will fail an Mot, or I just can't see anything any longer!
My new windscreen has given my lights a new lease of life,,, maybe it's not the dim lights but the thoisands of tiny indent marks on my screen that obscure vision,especially at night.
You can't see them when viewing the screen unless you look very close but one Trackday at Marham airfield and my screen was terrible in low sunlight or cars headlights,, f

My own fault mind, I was towing every chance I could on the runway, I was getting addicted to 150 mph + !!!
Maybe the Lupo's don't look that naff really but I had an S2 with Chrome hradlight surrounds and I used to love the old fashioned look to the lights,, the Chim lenses remind me of that old school headlight approach which I like.
If anything I like the idea Derek Beck uses, (Derek the super fast geezer) who drag races anything in sight
He's gone for the lights that do away with the surrounds which I think looks the biz.

This is an upgraded headlight topic afterall, does the mk3 conversion give a better beam pattern on the road , or is it just like for like with only the plastic cowl being done away with and a clear plastic over lense being fitted. The original Chimaera lense reflectors are not a sealed unit so again dirt and flies will get on the lense obscuring the beam and in time the chrome will degrade, discolour and rust, causing the reflective material to lift off from the reflector Housing?

I've had these and the H4 H7 HID upgrade set also fitted by Central. Compared to the previous candles in a box these are rather excellent Yex 450 said:

The Lupo conversion is quite straightforward, but the fitting and bezel cutting is quite time consuming.
What I am trying to say is to make sure that your chosen conversion actually delivers what you want before you do it, so talk to people on here.

My 2006 Saab has modern projector lights - terrible light spread, I can actually see more with the TVR candles.
I fitted 120% brighter a Ring bulbs in my standard lights for £25, and can now see well despite corroded reflectors, so for now my Lupo lights are sitting in the shed.

Don't go for more powerful bulbs. 100 watt bulbs can overheat the wiring.
The Ring ones I showed you are the standard 60/55 watt bulbs.
They just produce far more light by using xenon.
